Skylar is a registered Psychologist who completed a Master of Professional Psychology at La Trobe University. She is driven by a genuine passion for supporting children, adolescents and young adults to understand themselves and move toward meaningful change.
Skylar brings a warm, grounded and empathetic approach to her work, creating a safe space where clients feel heard, understood and supported. She is committed to ongoing learning and professional development, ensuring her practice remains thoughtful, evidence-based and responsive to each individual’s needs.
Skylar has a strong clinical interest in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) across developmental ages. She understands that OCD can be confusing, distressing and exhausting for both the young person and the parent. Many families describe feeling torn between wanting to reduce their child’s anxiety and noticing that reassurance or involvement in rituals can unintentionally make symptoms stronger over time.
Skylar works closely with families to help them understand why OCD behaves the way it does and to develop practical, compassionate strategies that support recovery at home and at school. She helps young people learn to recognise and respond to intrusive thoughts, reduce compulsive behaviours gradually and safely, and regain confidence in daily life. Skylar also provides parents with clear guidance so they can support progress, respond effectively to anxiety and feel more confident in their role throughout the therapeutic process.
Skylar embraces a client-centred approach and tailors her support to each individual and family, aiming to strengthen resilience, self-understanding and wellbeing.
