Supervision & Mentoring

Supporting thoughtful, reflective and developmentally informed clinical practice.

Several psychologists at Melbourne Children’s Psychology Clinic (MCPC) are AHPRA Board-Approved Supervisors with endorsement in Clinical Psychology and/or Educational & Developmental Psychology.

We provide supervision to:

  • Psychologists in AHPRA training pathways

  • Psychologists completing endorsement (Registrar) programs

  • Higher Degree trainees & placement students

  • Fully registered psychologists seeking ongoing supervision or reflective practice

  • Clinicians working in CAMHS, paediatrics, schools, community settings or private practice

Our supervision approach is collaborative, reflective and supportive. We focus on curiosity, clinical thinking, self-awareness and sustainable practice — not performance or correction.

Supervision Pathways We Support

We provide supervision across a range of training and professional pathways, supporting psychologists at different stages of registration and career development.

We are approved to provide supervision for:

  • 5+1 Internship Program, including Principal and Secondary Supervisor roles

  • Higher Degree Pathways, for general registration and endorsement

  • Registrar Programs, including Clinical Psychology and Educational & Developmental Psychology

  • Ongoing supervision for fully registered psychologists across practice settings

Areas of Clinical Focus

Children, Adolescents & Families

Working developmentally and relationally across age groups and family systems.

Attachment & Relational Approaches

Exploring therapeutic relationships, attunement and relational repair.

Neuro-affirming Practice

Supporting respectful, strengths-based work with neurodivergent clients.

Complexity, Trauma & Systems

Practice Sustainability & Wellbeing

Supporting boundaries, workload management and long-term sustainability.

Reflective Practice & Professional Identity

Developing clinical voice, confidence and a grounded professional identity.
