Zina is a registered Provisional Psychologist currently completing a Master of Clinical Psychology. Having worked in various settings, she understands the importance of strong rapport with her clients. She aims to create a warm, safe and empowering environment for individuals of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
Zina enjoys working with children, adolescents and their families in assisting them to navigate the challenges in their lives. She has worked with clients to provide mental health support for a range of presentations including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, adjustment issues and emotional dysregulation.
Zina is empathetic, compassionate and creative. She prioritises person-centred approach by understanding individuals’ unique experiences, strengths and current challenges. She believes the client is the expert of their experiences and utilises a collaborative approach to therapy. Tailoring evidence-based treatments to each individual’s needs, Zina aims to support clients to better understand themselves, to recognise their strengths and make sustainable change to reach their full potential.
Zina incorporates therapeutic tools from a range of evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-based interventions. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
