Hanna Patterson is a registered Provisional Psychologist currently pursuing a Master of Psychology (Clinical) at the University of Melbourne. She is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of her clients through empathetic, informed, and individualised psychological care, recognising the interconnectedness of individuals within their familial context.

She has a particular passion for working with neurodivergent individuals. Hanna previously coordinated a social group for children with autism and later worked as a support worker for neurodivergent children.
Hanna is also deeply committed to assisting children and adolescents who navigate comorbid mental health challenges and chronic medical conditions. Her thesis at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute is focused on adapting a psychological intervention to better serve children facing these dual diagnoses.
With a commitment to providing strengths-based, empathetic, and warm care, Hanna is dedicated to serving individuals of all ages and diverse backgrounds, alongside their families. She believes firmly that clients are the experts of their own experiences and places a strong emphasis on person-centered care, fostering collaborative relationship with both clients and their families.
Hanna’s clinical placements at the University of Melbourne Psychology Clinic and Phoenix Australia have honed her skills in evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Her specialisation in trauma-focused work at Phoenix Australia allowed her to deliver effective, evidence-based interventions for trauma. These experiences have also refined her abilities in formulation, psychological assessment, interviewing, ethical practice, safety planning, and risk assessment.
