Daniela has experience working in community, educational and private settings providing intervention and assessment to children, and adolescents. She has worked with clients with a range of presentations including inattention/hyperactivity, intellectual disability, specific learning disorders, adjustment related issues, interpersonal and behavioural difficulties, autism spectrum disorder and trauma. In addition to her practice at MCPC, Daniela currently works in primary schools across Melbourne, providing support and consultation to students, teachers, parents, and other educational professionals.
At MCPC, Daniela provides cognitive and psychoeducational assessments for the purpose of diagnosing a range of presentations and identifying cognitive strengths and weaknesses profiles. In her assessment, she adopts a holistic, neuro-affirmative, and strengths-based approach, and provides recommendations specific to individual needs. Daniela also utilises a range of evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and mindfulness-based approaches.
Daniela is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and their families. She has a particular interest in parenting and strives to work collaboratively with caregivers to help families overcome challenges and flourish. Daniela is warm and empathetic and strives to create a safe and trusting space for clients.
