Mel Kelleher is a fully registered psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She has a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology with Endorsement in the Area of Professional Practice from APHRA. She has worked extensively with children, adolescents, and adults in private practice, primary and secondary schools, and community settings.
Mel has additional specialised training in the areas of developmental trauma, attachment, and emerging personality disorders. She is trained in trauma informed therapies including CBT, ACT, Child Focused Play Therapy, Schema Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing).
Mel has experience working with children and their families on issues such as anxiety, mood disorders, attachment difficulties, behavioural difficulties, body-image, developmental trauma, and other developmental disorders.
Mel is passionate about working with children and their families and enjoys using her creativity in her therapeutic approach. Mel is a warm and empathetic practitioner who always keeps the client at the centre of her approach.
