Cassie is a registered counsellor with an interest in working with children, adolescents and their families.  Cassie originally trained as a teacher and taught in a school before completing her Master of Counselling at Monash University.  She has since undertaken further professional development in sandplay therapy, as well as art and play therapy for children.

Cassie employs playfulness and creativity in her approach to therapy.  She adopts a client-centred method in working with children to explore their concerns and create a safe environment for self-discovery.  Cassie has a particular interest in emotion regulation and how play-based methods can be used to assist children with anxiety, friendship issues, sensory sensitivities and life changes.  Having worked in schools, Cassie offers a unique perspective on the challenges that children face at school and enjoys working collaboratively with parents and education providers.

Cassie uses a variety of evidence-based approaches including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focussed Therapy, and Play based methods.

Cassie is currently competing further studies in psychology, and hopes to be a provisionally registered psychologist in 2022.
