Cathie Beven is a registered psychologist with over 15 years experience both within the public and private sector and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She is currently competing her Masters of Educational and Developmental Psychology at Melbourne University.
Cathie has an interest in working with children and adolescents to address a range of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, friendship issues, bullying, stress management, attention deficit issues and underling learning issues. She has a keen interest in preserving and enhancing young peoples self-esteem. She is experienced in the provision of a variety of evidence-based techniques, according to individual client needs and treatment goals.
Within her counselling, Cathie implements Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Solution Focussed Therapy.
Cathie is proficient in undertaking cognitive assessments and making recommendations to support students’ individual learning needs.
