Byron is a psychologist who has experience working with children, adolescents and adults across community, private practice, school, and forensic settings, and is comfortable working with client presentations ranging from symptom relief to serious mental illness.
Byron is a warm clinician who uses a person-centred and strengths-based approach to therapy. Working collaboratively with his clients, he strives to create an accepting, non-judgemental space to safely explore their concerns. He aims to tailor each treatment plan to the unique needs of each client. Byron believes in the importance of developing a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship with clients to achieve the best possible outcomes. Byron prides himself on his ability to connect with clients, and shows genuine interest, care, and respect for each client.
Byron uses several evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therpay (CBT), Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Solution Focussed Therapy.
